#5: Because You Want Someone Who Appreciates Floatie Time
Work is stressful enough, with the pressures of meeting deadlines, pleasing your clients, and surpassing your own lofty expectations for the work you want to do. So the last thing you need is someone who brings more stress to the office.
Laura does an amazing job of keeping an even keel during even the most stressful situations. Part of the reason she’s so good at it is that’s she’s a big believer in what she calls “floatie time.” In the summer, the time she spends relaxing in the pool and reading helps her come back to the office relaxed and energized. But the truth is, she’s great at that all year round—even when the floating chair is packed away.
If you want someone who helps alleviate stress rather than create more of it, check out Laura’s LinkedIn profile, download her portfolio (PDF) and e-mail 32reasons@gmail.com.
