#13: Because You Want a Client Perspective & #14: Because You Want an Agency Perspective

Although organizations and their agencies are supposed to have shared objectives, the differences in the ways they reach those goals can feel quite large. It can be very valuable to have someone on your team who has been on the other side of that relationship.

Laura has extensive experience working in a corporate setting and at agencies. When she’s at an agency, she can help an account team understand how the client will think—both about the work the agency presents and about the way the agency approaches the relationship. That can help the account team, particularly junior members, understand when pushing the client might be productive, and also when accepting the client’s wishes with less resistance will generate the better result.

To a corporate marketing or communications team, Laura brings the agility and creativity that are required by an agency. She can move between projects quickly and she’s always committed to generating strong new ideas. As a result, she can help an organization make stronger connections with its target audiences.

If you want someone who knows how to balance the strengths of corporate and agency approaches to marketing, check out Laura’s LinkedIn profile, download her portfolio (PDF) and e-mail 32reasons@gmail.com.
